One UI 9 beta comes to Galaxy M34

Surprise! Samsung has released the One UI 9.0 beta update for one more mid-range phone. The Android 17-based beta software is now available for the Galaxy M34, which is a three-year-old mid-range phone launched in only a few countries.

With this release, it appears that the company is slowly but surely moving toward an Apple-like beta program for phones.

The Android 17-based One UI 9.0 beta update is now rolling out (via @tarunvats33) for the Galaxy M34 in India. It comes bearing firmware version M346BXXUEZZIB and a download size of around 2.7GB.

Since the Galaxy M34 is available in only India among the countries where the One UI 9.0 Beta Program is open, this beta update might not be released elsewhere.

If you have a Galaxy M34 5G and live in India, and if you want to beta-test One UI 9.0, download and install the Samsung Members app on your phone. Log into the app using the same Samsung account linked to your Galaxy M34, and then register the device in the One UI 9.0 Beta Program.

Once the phone is registered, open the Settings app, scroll down and navigate to Software update, and click the Check for updates button. The beta software will then start downloading.

Make sure that your phone has at least 30% battery charge left. Tap the Restart now button once the update is downloaded, and the phone will restart after a few minutes.
