New Galaxy S26 FE update brings September 2026 security patch

It hasn’t even been fifteen days since Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE and released the first software update for the phone, and now, the brand has released another update for the device. It bring the September 2026 security patch, which fixes 90 security issues present in the previous OS, making it more secure than before.

So far, Samsung seems to have released the update only in its home country, South Korea. It carries firmware version S741NKSS2AZI3 (via Mohammed Khatri). The company should release it in more regions over the next few days. You can check its availability by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE with its latest custom Android interface, One UI 9.0 (Android 17) and promised to offer it seven major OS upgrades as well as seven years of security updates.

It is interesting to see that the brand has released two software updates for the phone even before it becomes available to purchase in many major markets around the globe, including India.
