Samsung appears to have fixed Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display red tint issue

Last month, the users of the Galaxy S26 Ultra started complaining that a red tint had appeared on the displays of their phones. Samsung acknowledged the problem and said it would fix it with a software update this month. Now, the brand appears to have finally addressed the issue.

A few moments ago, Samsung released a software update for the Galaxy S26 series in its home country, South Korea, that brings the August 2026 security patch. It looks like the new firmware also includes a fix for the red tint issue affecting the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display.

Samsung has issued a notice in the Samsung Members app in South Korea stating that it will fix the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display red tint issue with a software update that it will roll out today. We assume Samsung is referring to the update that it has already released, which brings the August 2026 security patch. 

Our assumption is based on the fact that Samsung typically doesn’t release two separate software updates for the same device on the same day, especially when both address issues that could be handled in a single update. Samsung should release the update in other regions in the next few hours.
