In general, many Samsung fans prefer Qualcomm’s Snapdragon “for Galaxy” chips over Samsung’s in-house Exynos solutions. The fact that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 returns to Snapdragon is reason enough for some existing Flip owners to trade up.

And if you’re new to foldables, the takeaway is simple: the Galaxy Z Flip 8 packs Samsung’s most powerful mobile chip yet. It’s the same processor used across the rest of the Galaxy Z8 series and the Galaxy S26 lineup in the USA.

Pre-order perks arguably aren’t as generous as they were a couple of years ago, but Samsung US still offers solid trade-in discounts.
