iQOO 16R receives its first certification ahead of release

Last week we told you that the iQOO Z12 Turbo’s chipset leaked along with its screen size, and that it will very likely be sold outside of China as the iQOO 16R, just like the Z11 Turbo became the iQOO 15R. Today, the iQOO 16R has received its first certification, showing up in Indonesia’s TKDN database with the model number I2606.

The listing confirms the iQOO branding and 5G support. The same model number was spotted in the GSM Association’s IMEI database back in early September, which is where the iQOO 16R name first surfaced.
