JBL’s newest party speaker is the loudest the company has ever offered

JBL makes some impressive party speakers under its “PartyBox” lineup, but if the PartyBox 720‘s impressively loud sound wasn’t enough for you, the company has today launched the loudest speaker in the series.

The PartyBox Ultimate 2 comes with several improvements over its 2023 predecessor. For starters, the speaker is louder than ever, boasting 1,500W of power — a whopping 400W higher than the PartyBox Ultimate’s 1,100W. To keep that loud sound clean, the speaker features dual 10-inch woofers, dual 5-inch mid-range drivers, dual tweeters, and dual bass ports.

The company has also upgraded the lighting experience with dynamic ripple effects and layered lighting. The PartyBox Ultimate 2 also projects beat-synced light effects onto the floor for an even more immersive experience. It also includes a built-in EasySing AI Vocal Removal feature that instantly turns any song into a karaoke track.

The PartyBox Ultimate 2 is the first speaker in JBL’s PartyBox lineup to feature an integrated touchscreen. The volume knob on the top panel doubles as a touchscreen with music and lighting controls, letting users see what track is playing, change songs, or adjust lighting effects without pulling out their phone.

The speaker supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6, and Auracast. For wired connections, it supports optical input, XLR line-in, and USB-C audio playback. Though the PartyBox Ultimate 2 is larger and heavier than its predecessor, JBL equipped it with larger, sturdier wheels to make it easier to roll wherever the party goes. It also features an IPX4 splashproof rating.

The JBL PartyBox Ultimate 2 is priced at $1,799.95 and is available now on the JBL website and at Best Buy. The speaker will also be available from other retailers in 2027.
