UGREEN follows Samsung’s lead and launches a new pair of clip-on earbuds

Samsung just launched the Galaxy Buds On, its first-ever pair of clip-on earbuds. But it looks like Samsung won’t be the only company this week with new clip-on earbuds to sell. UGREEN is also getting in on the party with the sequel to its ClipBuds Pro.

Best known for its chargers and power banks, UGREEN has added a new entry to its audio portfolio. Today, the company introduced the ClipBuds Pro 2, which is described as premium open-ear clip-on earbuds designed for people who often move between meetings, commutes, and active moments.

One area UGREEN focused on for these earbuds is call clarity. To ensure your voice is crystal clear, these earbuds feature a six-microphone voice pickup system. This consists of an array of four microphones and two bone-conduction voice pickup unit (VPU) sensors. The ClipBuds Pro 2 uses the VPU to identify your voice over the noise surrounding you. Additionally, AI is used to enhance noise reduction so you don’t have to worry about sounds like traffic, office chatter, and more.

From a listening perspective, the ClipBuds Pro 2 come with custom 11mm dual-magnet titanium-composite drivers, Hi-Res Wireless certification, and LDAC high-bitrate transmission. UGREEN says these qualities should create clear, richly detailed sound. The earbuds also use spatial audio to deliver a wider, more layered soundstage.

A few other notable features include 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Combined with the charging case, you get up to 46 hours of playback time. There’s support for over 130 languages for simultaneous translation and face-to-face translation. And if AI assistants are your thing, there’s support for ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI models.
