The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro just leaked, and they look unmistakably Nothing

Nothing could be just days away from launching its next pair of over-ear headphones, and we now have our first proper look at them. An earlier leak revealed much of what we can expect from the rumored Headphone (1) Pro, but stopped short of showing the design. A new report from WinFuture fills in that missing piece, and Nothing appears to be sticking with the wonderfully weird look that made the Headphone (1) stand out.

The leaked renders show the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro in black and white finishes. At first glance, they could easily be mistaken for the existing Headphone 1. Nothing appears to be sticking with the oversized, almost-square earcups with heavily rounded corners.

Look a little closer, though, and there are some interesting details. The transparent sections of the earcups once again expose some of the hardware underneath, including large circular elements in the middle.

The white model is arguably the more interesting of the two. Its silver-white outer shell contrasts with a black interior, black ear cushions, and black padding underneath the headband. The black version is far stealthier, with nearly the entire headphone finished in darker shades. Both appear to retain the familiar padded headband and physical controls along the earcups.

That might sound like a fairly conservative update, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. The Headphone (1) already stands out in a sea of very similar-looking Sony, Bose, and Apple headphones. Nothing doesn’t really need to reinvent the design after one generation; refining something people can recognize from across the room arguably makes more sense.

Nothing is also expected to use aluminum and scratch-resistant glass for the earcup housing, while an IP52 rating could provide some protection against dust and splashes. That won’t make them workout headphones you’d want to soak in sweat or rain, but a little extra durability is always welcome on something designed to spend its life being thrown into backpacks and carried around.

We might not have long to wait for the full picture. The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is rumored to launch on September 29. Nothing hasn’t formally revealed the headphones yet, but the company has shared a few glimpses of what appears to be the upcoming pair on its X account.

Interestingly, those teasers appear to show the same red accents visible in these leaked renders, lending a little more weight to what we’re seeing here. Still, until Nothing makes everything official, the finer details, including the Headphone (1) Pro name and September 29 launch date, remain unconfirmed.
