Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds On leak in marketing renders

Samsung’s audio lineup is gearing up for a significant expansion, moving beyond just traditional in-ear designs to embrace open-ear listening. Following earlier renders of the Samsung Galaxy Buds On, a fresh batch has surfaced, offering our clearest look yet at the company’s first-ever clip-on true wireless earbuds.

According to leaked marketing images shared by Android Headlines, the unreleased Galaxy Buds On earbuds, previously spotted under the internal moniker “Galaxy Buds Able,” sport an earring-like cuff aesthetic.

Rather than sealing off the ear canal with silicone tips, the Galaxy Buds On seemingly utilize a split two-part construction joined by a flexible bridge. The wider section houses the acoustic driver and sits just inside the concha to direct sound via air conduction, while the outer module clips around the ear to keep the earbud anchored.

Previous spottings within Samsung firmware revealed a suite of smart convenience features intended to compensate for the open build. The Buds On are expected to support hands-free head gestures, allowing users to nod or shake their head to accept or decline incoming calls. To tackle ambient noise bleed without active noise cancelation, Samsung is reportedly including an Auto Volume feature that adjusts playback levels dynamically based on environmental loudness.

Other anticipated software touches include deep integration with Bixby and Google Gemini, quick-trigger voice memos with automatic transcription on One UI, and an automatic sleep-detection toggle that pauses playback if you doze off.

Alongside the open-ear Galaxy Buds On, Samsung is also rumored to be developing the sports-oriented Galaxy T1 with ear hooks, signaling a broader effort to cater to lifestyle and fitness demographics. While Samsung has yet to announce an official event for either product, leaked marketing assets suggest a formal launch could arrive before the end of the year.
