Wider One UI 9 rollout starts for the Galaxy S26 series

Samsung is kicking off the proper rollout of the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S26 series today. Back on September 16, the brand released the update in its home country, and it is now beginning to make it available in other regions, with the US being one of the first to get it.

The update is live for the carrier-locked variants. The one for the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a size of 4,183MB and carries firmware version S948USQU4BZID (via Tarun Vats). You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

We expect Samsung to release the stable version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 series in more countries over the next few days, or at most, the next few weeks.

Based on Android 17, One UI 9.0 offers more customization options for the Quick Panel as well as new features for more convenience, productivity, and privacy.

A few of those additions include improved Samsung Notes and Samsung DeX, enhancements to accessibility features, and a location privacy indicator. You can read the complete list of new features here.
