Galaxy A16 5G may get One UI 9.0 (Android 17) beta program

Samsung’s decision to expand the One UI beta program to the Galaxy A1x and Galaxy A0x series, with the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A07 getting access to the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) beta, opened the door for more models to join the program. Now, it looks like the Galaxy A16 5G could be next in line to get the One UI 9.0 beta.

Samsung has created a dedicated beta section for the Galaxy A16 on its Community forum for India, strongly suggesting that the brand may soon open the One UI 9.0 beta program for the phone (via Mohammed Khatri). However, there’s no information on when the company will make it available.

Considering that Samsung has already opened the One UI 9.0 beta program for the Galaxy A15 and the Galaxy A07, the brand may make it available for the Galaxy A16 any moment now. It will give the phone’s users a chance to experience the new software before the tech giant releases a stable version a few weeks/months down the line.

Based on Android 17, One UI 9.0 offers more options to customise the Quick Panel, as well as additional features related to convenience, privacy, and productivity.
