Apple is working on a bigger iPhone Duo to rival Galaxy Z Fold Ultra

While Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, turned out to be a direct rival to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the company currently doesn’t have an answer to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which has a bigger screen and a better camera setup. However, the company is already working on a bigger foldable device that could compete with the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra series in the future.

A report from Bloomberg claims that Apple will release an iPhone Duo Max in the coming years. It will have a bigger screen than the iPhone Duo, possibly matching the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s 8-inch foldable screen. In a separate report, Bloomberg claimed that the iPhone Duo lineup will gain a telephoto camera and the Face ID system in the next two generations.

If the iPhone Duo Max launches alongside the third-generation iPhone Duo, it will likely feature a telephoto camera as well and become a direct rival to the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra series.

The iPhone Duo already has a bigger battery (5,400mAh) than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (5,000mAh). It also features a significantly faster processor than the one used in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. And if the iPhone Duo lineup gets a telephoto camera, it will be quite hard for Samsung to match that performance.

So, Samsung needs to stop coasting and bring its A-game with future foldable phones. The company needs to bring better cameras, a bigger cooling mechanism for the chip, faster charging (wired and wireless), an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and S Pen compatibility to defend itself from future iPhone Duo models.
