Android’s solution to reduce motion sickness is rolling out to Galaxy phones

Earlier this month, Google unveiled some new features for Android phones. One of those features is called Motion Assist, and it is aimed to reduce motion sickness that some people suffer. It debuted on Pixel phones is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy phones.

The Motion Assist feature tries to reduce motion sickness using floating bubbles on top of the content on the screen. Those bubbles move according to the motion of the bus, car, or any other moving vehicle you are traveling in and have been proven effective in reducing motion sickness.

Google has revealed (via 9To5Google) that the feature is rolling out to devices running Android 17, which means devices like the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are eligible for that feature, as they run the stable version of One UI 9.0 out of the box.

It should be visible on devices running version 26.33.32 of Google Play services. If you have that version installed but still aren’t seeing the Motion Assist feature, make sure to restart your phone. You should then find it in the Settings app and in Quick Panel controls.

Other Galaxy devices that have received the beta version of One UI 9.0 have also received the Motion Assist feature, and we have it on our Galaxy S26 Ultra running the latest One UI 9.0 beta software.
