Galaxy Z Fold 8 screen corners sinking? Samsung says it’s not a defect

As a result, when pressure is applied to these areas, the display sinks very slightly.

This cushioning structure is designed to reduce the impact of interference or pressure between the display’s internal components. To achieve this, the area is built with extra clearance, which causes slight movement when specific parts of the screen are pressed.

The South Korean firm clarified that this is an intentional design choice meant to protect the display and enhance its overall durability. It does not affect the performance of the screen or the phone itself. Since it is a normal design feature rather than a manufacturing defect, Samsung assures users that they can continue using their Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra normally.
