These new AI interpreter earbuds can translate conversations, calls, and even YouTube videos

Timekettle makes some of the best translation earbuds on the market, and the company has now announced a new pair of AI interpreter earbuds at IFA 2026 — the Timekettle W4 Plus.

The earbuds feature face-to-face translation, phone call translation, video meeting translation, and multimedia audio translation. The earbuds support four translation modes to handle different scenarios:

• One-on-one translation allows each participant to wear a single earbud for a natural conversation, with the earbuds interpreting and translating their languages seamlessly.
• Listen and play mode is meant for lectures, presentations, or large conferences. It can also save audio, create a live transcript, and provide AI-assisted review.
• Voice call translation lets users get real-time translations during audio or video calls. The earbuds support standard phone calls as well as calls on apps like Zoom, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
• Multimedia translation listens to audio on platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, and social media and generates translated subtitles.

The Timekettle W4 Plus also comes with a host of AI-powered productivity and customization features. The earbuds can create summaries of conversations and meetings with the AI Live Summary feature. The W4 Plus can also track context over long discussions to ensure it uses consistent terminology and phrasing.

Timekettle has also added five industry-specific profiles to the W4 Plus so the earbuds don’t get confused by specialized terms. These profiles cover tech, manufacturing, new energy, biotech and pharma, and general industries for consistent and reliable translations. The earbuds support 52 languages in 106 accents online, plus 13 language pairs for offline translation.

The W4 Plus uses a three-part voice pickup system that combines bone conduction with dual microphones and an upgraded VoiceFocus algorithm to cancel ambient noise. It’s also considerably light, with each earbud weighing in at 5.7g and a total weight of 116.5g with the charging case. The W4 Plus can translate continuously for up to three hours on a single charge and up to 12 hours with the charging case.

The Timekettle W4 Plus is available in Space Black, Midnight Blue, and Sandy Gold. The earbuds are priced at $379, although customers can opt for a subscription-based version for $299 with a $14.99 monthly fee. The earbuds will go on sale on September 6 and will be available on Amazon.
