Samsung updates Galaxy S23 FE with August 2026 security patch
Samsung has released a new update for its Fan Edition smartphone from 2023, the Galaxy S23 FE. If you were hoping to hear that it brings the One UI 9.0 beta, like the other three devices in the lineup did yesterday, you’re in for a disappointment. Instead, this update offers the August 2026 security patch.
So far, the brand seems to have released the update in most regions around the globe, including Asia and Europe. The one for the international variant of the phone has 273.99MB size and carries firmware version S711BXXSIGZH9. The latest security patch fixes 56 security issues, making the phone more secure than before.
To check if Samsung has made the latest update for the Galaxy S23 FE available in your region and for your unit, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. If you see an update, you can get it by tapping Install now.
As for One UI 9.0 (Android 17), while the phone is expected to get the tech giant’s latest custom Android interface, which may be its last major update, there’s no information on whether it will be part of the new software’s beta program.
