Samsung may open One UI 9.0 beta program for Galaxy A56

Samsung started developing its latest custom Android interface, One UI 9.0 (Android 17), for the Galaxy A56 in June. With the brand preparing to open the new software’s beta program for the Galaxy A55, it was reasonable to expect the company to do the same for the Galaxy A56. However, there had been no concrete evidence to confirm that. That has now changed.

Samsung has created a One UI Beta Program section for the Galaxy A56 on its Community forum (via Mohammed Khatri). Separately, a One UI 9.0 beta firmware for the Galaxy A56 has also been spotted on Samsung’s servers (via Tarun Vats). Together, these discoveries strongly suggest that Samsung is preparing to open the One UI 9.0 beta program for the Galaxy A56.

Samsung was expected to expand the One UI 9.0 beta program to devices beyond the Galaxy S26 series and begin rolling out the stable version soon after launching its latest foldable phones. However, it has been more than a month since the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8 debuted, and the company has yet to do either.
