Galaxy A55 could soon get the One UI 9.0 beta program
In June 2026, we learned that Samsung had started developing its latest custom Android interface, One UI 9.0 (Android 17), for the Galaxy A55. Now, it looks like the brand is planning to open the software’s beta program for the phone.
A beta firmware for the Galaxy A55 featuring One UI 9.0 has been spotted on Samsung’s server. It carries version A556SKSUAZZH5 (via Tarun Vats), strongly suggesting that the brand will open the software’s beta program for the phone.
Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 by releasing its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. The brand debuted the stable version of the custom Android interface with its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. It offers more UI customization options as well as many new features, which you can check out in our video at the end of the article.
The company was expected to open the new software’s beta program for more devices soon after launching the foldable phones and then start rolling out its stable version. However, it has been more than a month since Samsung launched those phones, and there is still no word from the brand on the One UI 9.0 beta program for more phones or the stable rollout.
