Apple HomePad details revealed by macOS code

Apple’s smart speaker with a display, which a lot of people have been calling HomePad, but which has also been referred to as Home Hub, is coming soon, apparently – later this year, in fact.

The latest macOS 26.7 beta has basically confirmed the HomePad (not the name, though), and now a deeper dive into the code tells us that while the HomePad will run a variant of tvOS, it will behave more like a giant Apple Watch.

Its home screen will feature « Faces » and a « Face Gallery ». So, like « watch faces » then, but not on a watch. In fact you can think of these just like Apple Watch faces,…
