Samsung Wallet adds Digital Key support for Volkswagen EVs

Today Samsung has announced that Samsung Wallet now supports Digital Key access for Volkswagen EVs, including the ID. Polo, ID. Cross, ID.3neo, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7, and ID. Buzz. This is currently rolling out in Europe for vehicles running ID. software version 6.0.1. Only vehicles produced on or after April 27, 2026 are compatible, and they need to be equipped with the « Preparation for Digital Key » option package.

Through this feature you can use a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone to lock, unlock, and start your car without having to use a physical key.
