Samsung raises Galaxy phone prices in India for the ninth time

Back in January, Samsung hiked the prices of its smartphones in India, marking the first such increase in a very long time. The move was believed to be driven by rising memory chip prices. Since then, the company has raised smartphone prices in the country multiple times, with surging memory prices once again believed to be the reason. Now, it’s happening yet again.

An image of what looks like Samsung’s communication to its retailers in India about increasing the price of the Galaxy F17, Galaxy F70E, Galaxy M17, and Galaxy M17E in the country has surfaced online (via Danish). Galaxy M17 price in India

  • 4GB+128GB – INR 17,999 > INR 18,999
  • 6GB+128GB – INR 19,999 > INR 21,999
  • 8GB+128GB – INR 21,999 > INR 24,999

Galaxy M17E price in India

  • 4GB+128GB – INR 16,499 > INR 17,499
  • 6GB+128GB – INR 18,499 > INR 20,499

Galaxy F17 price in India

  • 6GB+128GB – INR 21,999 > INR 22,999
  • 8GB+128GB – INR 23,999 > INR 25,999

Galaxy F70E price in India

  • 4GB+128GB – INR 16,499 > INR 17,499
  • 6GB+128GB – INR 18,499 > INR 20,499

As you can see, the price hike ranges from INR 1,000 to INR 3,000. According to the image, the new prices go into effect today (August 18, 2026). This marks the ninth price hike of Galaxy smartphones in the country in eight months.
