One UI 9 makes it easier to check your Galaxy device’s warranty details
One UI 9.0, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series last month, introduces a major change to the Settings menu: a dedicated Warranty and care section that makes it easier to check warranty status, run diagnostics, and resolve device issues.
The Warranty and care section is located directly within Settings app on Galaxy devices running One UI 9.0 (or newer). It displays the device’s current warranty status and whether it is enrolled in a Samsung Care+ coverage plan. You can also purchase a Samsung Care+ plan for eligible devices or check the warranty status of other Galaxy devices linked to your Samsung account.

If you face any hardware or performance issue, the Diagnostics tool in the Warranty and care section helps identify the problem. You can check for problems related to the battery, charging, touch response, sensors, network connectivity, security, and data backup and restore.
Because the new section integrates Bixby, you can ask Samsung’s voice assistant directly about issues you are facing. Bixby will guide you through step-by-step troubleshooting solutions without searching online.

From this new section, you can book an appointment at a Samsung-authorized service center or initiate a remote support session. It also displays estimated repair costs for major components and shows how much you need to pay if you have or don’t have the Samsung Care+ plan.
The Warranty and care feature is currently available on the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and it is expected to roll out to older Galaxy devices with future One UI 9.0 updates.
