Google’s Tensor G6 inside the Pixel 11 series isn’t a 2nm chip

Google unveiled the Pixel 11 series smartphones a couple of days ago, with the Tensor G6 inside. While Google didn’t explicitly mention it anywhere, the Tensor G6 was widely believed to be a 2nm chip. Turns out that’s not the case.

This revelation comes from Google’s VP of Hardware, Peng Yu-Chun, who confirmed that the Tensor G6 inside all the Pixel 11 series smartphones is based on TSMC’s 3nm process. Last year’s Tensor G5 is also a 3nm chip.
