Samsung phones get a new Google Play System update

On many Samsung smartphones, there is now a new Google Play System update available. It is 79MB in size, and after installing it, the Google Play System update field shows 1 May, 2026, just like before.

Since these updates don’t come with a changelog, it is hard to tell what changes they bring, especially when the Google Play System update field shows the same date as before.

We can confirm that one of the devices on which the latest update is available is the Galaxy S26 Ultra, at least in India. To check if it is available in your region, go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Google Play System update > Check for updates.
