Stable One UI 8.5 update reaches Galaxy A26
Samsung has started rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy A26, which is something that people have been waiting for a long time. Guatemala and North America seem to be among the first regions to get it. The update carries firmware version A266MUBU9CZEA (via Alfaturk16 and Mohammed Khatri).
The brand may have released it in other countries as well. To check its availability and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Usually, Samsung offers a new version of One UI first to its new and high-end devices and gradually makes it available for older and more affordable models, which takes at least a couple of months. However, the tech giant is taking things differently with the One UI 8.5 rollout, where it is offering the update to older and more affordable models within a month of the initial release.
It is worth pointing out that recently, Samsung also released the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy A26. At the same time, the brand is also testing One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it also brings visual changes and new features, just like One UI 8.5. The Galaxy A26 is eligible to get it. However, there is no information about when the brand will release its stable version.
