Samsung may have started testing Galaxy S26 FE
Back in March, we learned that Samsung is developing a new Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S26 FE, which will arrive as a successor to the Galaxy S25 FE. Last month, we got to know that it may rock the Exynos 2500 chipset. Now, a new leak about it suggests that the brand has started testing the phone.
On Samsung’s server for over-the-air (OTA) updates for Galaxy smartphones, a firmware file for the Galaxy S26 FE has been spotted for the first time. It carries firmware version S741NKSU0AZE5 (via Tarun Vats). It suggests that the brand has started testing the phone, or at least kicked off developing its firmware.
Either way, the development of the Galaxy S26 FE has moved a step ahead, and the phone is now one step closer to launch. Considering that Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 FE in September 2025 and follows a yearly refresh cycle, the tech giant could launch the upcoming phone in September 2026.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing else we know about the device. That being said, as the launch gets closer, we may witness more leaks about the device, shedding light on its remaining aspects.
