Galaxy S24’s stable One UI 8.5 update goes global

Almost a week ago, Samsung released the stable version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Initially, the brand offered it in its home country, South Korea, then in the US, and now the company is rolling it out globally, starting with Europe.

The update is 4,237.07MB in size and carries firmware version S92xBXXUEDZDR (via Tarun Vats). Going by Samsung’s software rollout history, the brand should make it available in some of its biggest markets around the world, including Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, very soon.

You can check if Samsung has made it available in your region, and to get it, by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. One UI 8.5 brings a plethora of changes. That includes a new user interface that looks cleaner, more sophisticated, and more consistent throughout than the one that One UI 8.0 offers, and many new features.
