Give your Audeze Maxwell 2 a new look with these custom earcup covers

Audeze just launched a line of swappable earcup covers for the Maxwell 2 gaming headset, and I got to say, they look pretty snazzy.

The standard designs each run for $29.99 and are all “ANC Optimized,” meaning they are perforated to keep the Maxwell 2’s external microphones exposed, which only matters if you’re eyeing the ANC version on the way. The current lineup includes Kankan Koneko (an angry lucky cat), Planar Scan (a cross-section of the Maxwell 2’s own driver), Panopticon (an all-seeing eye), and even a plain, dry-erase-compatible Whiteboard plate for a more affordable $19.99 if you’d rather draw your own.

Then there’s the Prestige Series, which, honestly, are my favorites of the bunch. The Día de los Muertos covers are handcrafted by artist Jesse Zamora in Southern California. They’re $49.99 each and made in limited quantities. Because they are sealed and finished with a topcoat, that means they are solid plates, so Audeze flags them as Not ANC Optimized. So, if you are waiting on the Maxwell 2 ANC version, keep that in mind before grabbing one.

All covers attach magnetically to easily pop and swap, and Audeze looks to be expanding its lineup of earcup covers over time with more artist collaborations, so expect more options down the road. ReSkin is available now at Audeze.
