
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, Samsung is promoting its AI TVs with benefits
Earlier this year, Samsung introduced an AI-powered feature called AI Soccer Mode for its TVs. With the FIFA World Cup 2026 approaching, the South Korean firm has started promoting its new TVs by offering additional benefits to customers who upgrade to models featuring AI Soccer Mode.
Trading in an old TVs to buy a new Samsung AI TV launched in 2026 will bring additional benefits
In South Korea, customers who upgrade from their old TV to a new Samsung TV with AI Soccer Mode are eligible for additional benefits. Those who purchase an 83-inch or larger TV will receive Samsung Points worth KRW 200,000 (approximately $135). Buyers of 75-inch or 77-inch Micro RGB TVs, The Frame Pro TVs, OLED TVs, or the 98-inch The Frame TV launched in 2026, and who trade in their old TV, will receive Samsung Points worth KRW 100,000 (approximately $68).
Samsung is accepting trade-ins regardless of the old TVâs brand or launch year. These offers is available through E-Land, Hi-Mart, Samsung Store, and Samsung.com.
For the month of May 2026, Samsung is also running a promotional program in which buyers of its new AI TVs can receive cashback of up to KRW 300,000 (approximately $203). This offer is limited to the first 500 buyers of 75-inch or larger OLED or Micro RGB TVs in South Korea who leave a review on Samsungâs website.

Samsungâs new AI TVs launched this year feature several key enhancements:
- AI Soccer Mode: Optimizes brightness and color when a soccer match is detected on screen.
- AI Sound Controller: Automatically detects and separates crowd noise and commentator audio during a match, allowing users to adjust or mute each element individually.
- AI Upscaling: Enhances lower-resolution content to near 4K quality using generative AI-based algorithms.
- Vision AI Companion: Uses AI to identify objects or people on screen and provide additional information. It can also display match scores and relevant facts about teams in real time.
