Samsung The Frame TV (2026): Everything you need to know

Samsung unveiled The Frame (2026), also known as LS03HE, at the CES event in January 2026. It is the latest iteration of the original The Frame TV, which the brand launched in 2017. The new model brings many improvements over its predecessor, which we will talk about in a moment.

The company made The Frame (2026) available to purchase for the first time in April 2026, in many countries around the world, including the United States. The South Korean tech giant also offers The Frame Pro (2026), an advanced version of this model. You can read more about it here.

Design

Samsung launched the original The Frame TV with the intention that you can use it as a TV as well as a photo frame. To make it look like a frame, the brand offered it with bezels around the display that looked similar to those on an actual photo frame. The Frame (2026) is no different.

It also comes with bezels around the screen that look similar to those on an actual photo frame. Samsung is also offering four add-on bezel options for it to enhance its look: Modern Brown, Modern Teak, Modern White, and Sand Gold Model. They are available at an extra cost.

Display

Samsung offers The Frame LS03HE in four screen sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch. All models feature a VA LCD panel with a Quantum Dot layer (Samsung calls it QLED), a 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium support.

The panel has a glare-free coating, reducing reflections, which not only improves the picture quality but also makes it look more like an actual photo frame. The TV supports HDR and HDR10+, and comes with AI-powered 4K upscaling. It has Pantone Validated ArtfulColor certification.

Sound

The Frame (2026) has two speakers in a stereo channel with 20W total sound output. It supports Dolby Atmos. Additionally, you get Adaptive Sound Pro, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, 360 Audio, AI Sound Controller, Q-Symphony, and OTS Lite.

Connectivity

Starting with the wireless connectivity options, The Frame LS03HE features tri-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Then there is support for Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. As for the wired options, you get four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K at 144Hz, one optical audio out, two USB Type-A ports, and one LAN port.

Samsung ships the TV with a SolarCell Remote. As the name suggests, it has a solar panel at the back, which can charge the batteries with sunlight, reducing or eliminating the need to charge the remote manually. You can also charge it using its USB Type-C port.

Processing hardware and software

The Frame (2026) features the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, and it runs on the Tizen Smart TV operating system. Samsung has promised to offer software updates to it for seven years. The brand ships it with Vision AI, which provides a host of AI-powered features to make the TV more convenient for you. The TV offers two voice assistants, Amazon Alexa and Samsung Bixby.

It comes loaded with Art Store, which can display artworks from famous artists around the world, turning the TV into a photo frame, justifying its name. You also get Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health, and many such popular apps out of the box. Speaking of which, there are a ton of apps, including those for the most popular streaming services, available for the OS.
