One UI 8.5 stable release dates for Galaxy S25, other devices tipped
Usually, when Samsung opens a beta program for a new version of One UI for a Galaxy smartphone, it rolls out five to six beta builds over the course of two to three months, and then releases the stable version. However, that hasn’t been the case with the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung opened the beta program in December and has released ten beta builds for the lineup so far, with still no official word on the stable rollout. Last week, we got a look at the changelog for the stable One UI 8.5 update for these devices, suggesting that the release may be close. Now, a tipster has revealed the exact dates when it may arrive.
On X, @Alfaturk16 claims that Samsung will release the stable version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series on April 30, 2026, or May 1, 2026. The brand is expected to roll it out first in its home country, South Korea, followed by a global release on May 4, 2026.
In addition, the tipster says that Samsung plans to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 for most eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets between May 4, 2026, and May 30, 2026. This means the stable build of the new software for your device could be less than a month away.
