OnePlus has revealed early details about its upcoming Nord Buds 4 Pro, a new pair of budget-friendly earbuds scheduled to launch on March 19. The company shared the information through a promotional page on Amazon India. This highlights improved active noise cancellation (ANC), upgraded codec support, and a redesigned look.
OnePlus has not yet disclosed full specifications. However, the early preview suggests the Nord Buds 4 Pro could be a notable update over the previous generation. For example, the earbuds now feature stems with a uniform thickness rather than the tapered design seen before. OnePlus also extended the groove used for touch controls, covering roughly 40% of the stem’s length. In theory, this should make gesture controls easier to conduct on the move. The charging case has also been updated with a “squircle”-shaped design. The earbuds sit vertically inside it, and based on promotional images, OnePlus plans to offer the buds in Black and White colorways.
The Nord Buds 4 Pro feature 12mm titanium-coated drivers, which should provide improved durability and consistent diaphragm motion. Noise cancellation has also been improved, with the Nord Buds 4 Pro reportedly reaching up to 55dB of ANC, compared with the 49dB rating of the Nord Buds 3 Pro. Of course, actual isolation and ANC performance depend on factors like ear tip seal and tuning. We’ll have to measure the Nord Buds 4 Pro ourselves before drawing firm conclusions.
Outside of ANC, the Nord Buds 4 Pro support Hi-Res wireless audio via the LHDC codec, an upgrade from the older model’s limited AAC and SBC support. For context, LHDC can deliver higher-bitrate wireless audio in ideal conditions, though real-world benefits depend on both the source device and environment. OnePlus also advertises “3D Spatial Audio” and “Game Sound Spatial Audio”, each providing a more immersive movie and gaming experience. The earbuds include six microphones for calls and rely on AI-assisted noise reduction to isolate your voice from background noise.
Despite these early details, OnePlus has not revealed battery life, pricing, or regional availability. We will have to wait until OnePlus’s formal announcement of the Nord Buds 4 Pro on March 19, 2026, for further details.
