
Audio-Technica unveils limited edition ATH-WP900SE headphones
- Audio-Technica is releasing a limited edition pair of headphones called the ATH-WP900SE.

Audio-Technica has unveiled a limited edition pair of over-ear headphones called the ATH-WP900SE. These feature solid ash wood elements in a three-tone lacquer designed by guitar maker Fujigen. They weigh 235g, have memory foam ear cups covered in artificial leather lines, and a compact form factor that swivels flat.
The ATH-WP900SE feature 53 mm drivers mounted in earcups with acoustic ports, voice coils, and vents. Audio-Technica has designed these specifically to reproduce the sounds of string instruments, such as guitars. They have a frequency response of 5 to 50 kHz, a sensitivity of 98 dB/mW, a 37-ohm impedance, and a maximum power input of 1,000mW.
The acoustic ports, drivers, and voice coils are specifically designed to reproduce the sound of string instruments.
Audio-Technica’s new headphones can connect to guitar amplifiers and digital audio players using the included cables. These comprise one unbalanced 3.5mm and one balanced 4.4mm A2DC cables. These measure 1200mm, and the headphones ship with a carry pouch to protect them in transit.
The ATH-WP900SE are available to pre-order now for 110,000 yen (~$750) from Audio-Technica Japan. The headphones will officially release on February 20, 2026.
