vivo led India’s smartphone market in 2025 with double-digit shipment growth

According to Omdia, vivo led India’s smartphone market in 2025, grabbing 21% of the pie with 32.1 million shipments. It was followed by Samsung with 15% and 23 million shipments, Oppo and Xiaomi with 13% each (20 million and 19.7 million shipments, respectively), and Apple with 10% from 15.1 million units shipped.

Compared to 2024, vivo grew 19% in 2025, Oppo grew 10%, Apple grew a whopping 28%, while Samsung fell 11% and Xiaomi shipments declined by 26%. Overall smartphone sales in India in 2025 were 1% lower than in 2024 at 154.2 million units.
