Here’s when the third One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 may arrive

On 8 December 2025, Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, the first set of smartphones to get it, which brought many visual and functional upgrades. On 22 December 2025, the brand released the second beta version of the new software, which brought many bug fixes and performance improvements. 

However, One UI 8.5 is still not perfect, and Samsung is expected to release even more beta versions of the new software for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra before releasing its stable version. Well, today we have information on when the South Korean tech giant could release the third beta version of One UI 8.5. Let’s take a look.

On X, a popular tipster, Tarun Vats, claims that Samsung will release One UI 8.5 Beta 3 on 5 January 2026 or 6 January 2026. That’s only a week from now. Unfortunately, there’s no information about what upgrades it will bring. We expect the new firmware version to offer bug fixes and performance improvements.
