The controls for the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 are quite Spartan, but effective.

As you’ve likely already surmised, the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 are a pair of posh over-ear headphones. The cans attract those drawn to retro designs thanks to their pleasing leatherette padding and robust, 320g skeleton. The brushed metal adds a fine finish, and the tactile buttons and sliders are conveniently located on the right ear cup. There’s also a user-selectable control on the left ear cup that partners seamlessly with the Music | Bowers & Wilkins app. The headphones support lossless audio via USB-C and a USB-to-3.5mm TRS cable with the onboard DAC and 24-bit DSP. However, you can also listen wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 over the aptX Adaptive, AAC, or SBC codecs.

Under the hood, the headphones support Bluetooth Multipoint, can fast-charge 7 hours from a 15-minute boost, and last over 40 hours with ANC. The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 also attenuate up to 83% of environmental noise. Most people will enjoy how they sound by default, although we found they needed some tinkering out of the box. Nevertheless, the headphones are capable of taking calls on the go and effectively quell office clatter and reverberant spaces. Just be mindful that the Px8 tend to cut out more of the signal when repelling wind noise.

This early Black Friday Bowers & Wilkins Px8 deal finally brings their price in line with other consumer headphones. In particular, they’ll serve fashion-conscious buyers who want to save a little extra cash. However, even with this price reduction, you may be able to find a better bargain elsewhere.
