AI notification summaries coming to Galaxy devices with One UI 8.5, here’s a peek

A new One UI 8.5 firmware has made its way online for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it gives us our first proper look at the rumored Galaxy AI-powered notification summary feature. Well, perhaps “proper” isn’t the right word: while the notification summary feature has been added, it doesn’t currently work.

Still, this is the clearest confirmation yet that Samsung is working on making lengthy notifications easier to digest with the help of AI. The first time you pull down the notification panel in One UI 8.5, you’re greeted with a pop-up that explains the feature.
