The Realme 7 Pro handily defeated its vanilla sibling in last week’s poll, however its success is anything but certain. Still, it received more than twice as many votes in favor as the Realme 7, making it the clear favorite.
That said, people in the comments believe that the smart thing to do is grab a Realme 6 Pro, the model from earlier this year. Comparing 7 Pro vs. 6 Pro shows that the older phone has a larger 90Hz display (but LCD instead of OLED), the same S720G chipset, similar rear camera but with a 2x telephoto lens, an ultra wide lens on the front and a similar battery capacity with slower (but still fast) charging, 30W.
The Realme 6 Pro is cheaper to boot – INR 18,000 vs. INR 20,000 in India. We can’t compare the prices in Europe yet as the new model is yet to arrive (and its arrival should cause the older phone to drop in price).
Of course the Realme 7 is cheaper than both (INR 15,000), but this model failed to spark an interest in fans. In fact, the vanilla model was barely mentioned in the comments, it was nearly completely overshadowed by the Pro.
