The Chinese manufacturer vivo launched the vivo Z6 5G, the vivo X30, and now its S lineup is also going to get the next-gen connectivity makeover. A device named vivo S6 5G is arriving soon, according to a teaser on the company Weibo page.
The seven-second video does not reveal much – it just says “Are you ready for fast speed?” and then reveals the phone will have “strong performance” and “dual-mode 5G”, meaning the vivo S6 5G will work both on SA and NSA networks.
While specs are scarce, we know the vivo S6 will position itself in the upper midrange field. We expect to see a Snapdragon 765G chipset that has a Snapdragon X52 modem, or vivo might decide to go for Mediatek’s Dimensity 1000 platform that also has 5G integrated modem. Companies in China usually tease a phone little by little, so we expect to see more details in the upcoming days and weeks.
