While Black Friday doesn’t kick off until later this month, significant savings are live on top video games. This year has seen retailers putting deals live earlier than ever, with discounts on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch games — and even some on the next-generation Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, if you’re lucky to own one.

With early price cuts already live at various retailers, we’ve rounded up the top games to consider ahead of Black Friday, with all the deals that matter.

Best Deals on Video Games: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch

We’ve already been seeing worthwhile savings on various titles through mid-November, including at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. The best savings are found on physical, disc-based versions, often significantly undercutting their digital counterparts. That sees third parties increasingly aggressive with their pricing.

Atlus launched its new-and-improved Persona 5 Royal earlier in 2020, bolstering an already beloved Japanese role-playing game (RPG) with an expanded world brimming with more content. It features the same gripping narrative, mixing ordinary high schoolers with special powers, all intertwined with visuals and a soundtrack to remember.

$52 at Best Buy (PS4)

The latest Assassin’s Creed adventure just came out, but you can get it for $10 off across platforms. You play as Eivor, a Viking who travels to England to start their settlement. You’lll get into some political intrigue along the way.

DIRT 5 was among the few Xbox Series X launch titles that showcased what the console could do, capped out at 4K resolution at 120 frames-per-second (FPS) on the system. It’s also a fun arcade racer for off-road action around all terrains. The game supports Xbox Smart Delivery with a free next-generation upgrade making this a future-proofed pickup.

$50 at Amazon (Xbox One / Xbox Series X)

The official Formula 1 game received its annual refresh this summer, featuring all the latest drivers, teams, and circuits. Its latest revision brings significant changes beyond the track, with a new “My Team” feature where you’ll choose a sponsor, engine supplier, and crew for its most in-depth experience yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 makes its Xbox One and PlayStation 4 debut this December, promising an expansive and rich virtual metropolis, almost one decade in the making. From the studio behind The Witcher 3, the experience hinges on exploration and player choice, already one of the most anticipated games of the generation. You also get a free upgrade to Xbox Series X, Series S, or PS5. Preorders via Amazon remain open at $50, cutting $10 off the RRP ahead of launch.
