Today, Respawn Entertainment — the developer behind Apex Legends and Titanfall — revealed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s first gameplay footage. Contrary to rumors, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a story-driven third-person action game that Respawn has been working on for many years now. There’s no multiplayer or microtransactions in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order though. Luckily, it’s launching on November 15 this year and may be running at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on Xbox One X. It’s unclear what the resolution and frame rate of the base console might be.
As you go from combat scenario to combat scenario, you’ll be able to freely traverse the levels because you can double-jump, wall-run, grapple, and use Force powers for other amazing moves. You also have to solve a variety of puzzles by either using your droid or telepathic abilities. There’s a lot of complexity in the game from what we saw at EA Play 2019. From our initial impression, it seems like Respawn has nailed the feel of the experience. However, the real test will occur at launch.
