Read this: The best hearables and wireless earbuds
As we can see from the image below, the Buds largely look like the IconX. You’ve got the same triangle-based design, though the Buds look more tapered with sharper contours. The charging case also looks a little different, with larger openings for the Buds that could make it easier to pull them out.
What’s more interesting is the charging situation here. The Buds are resting on top of the Galaxy S10 with its green “fully powered” light on. The S10 is rumored to come with a new feature called PowerShare, which lets you charge other devices wirelessly.
This promotional image could be showing off the S10’s ability to wirelessly charge the Galaxy Buds charging case. If so, that would mean the Galaxy Buds case would be gaining wireless charging, which wouldn’t be a surprise seeing how hard Samsung has pushed wireless charging in the past couple of years. Alternatively, Samsung might have just thought this made for a cool promotional image and we’re reading too far into it.
We’re getting closer and closer to Samsung’s 20 February event, which will likely see the reveal of the Galaxy Watch Sport (which may actually be called the Galaxy Watch Active) as well as the Galaxy Fit and Fit e.
