Realme introduced its Realme 8 series yesterday, which includes the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro. Neither of those offers 5G connectivity, but the company said a 5G-compatible version of the vanilla 8 is on the way and it has now been certified by Thailand’s NBTC.
The Thai certifying authority doesn’t reveal any Realme 8 5G specifications but tells us the smartphone sports model designation RMX3241. The 4G variant comes with model code RMX3085.
Details are scarce about the Realme 8 5G, but more information about it should surface soon.
The Realme 8 4G is powered by the Helio G95 SoC and has three RAM options – 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. It has 128GB of storage onboard and runs Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
The Realme 8 is built around a 6.4″ FullHD+ 60Hz AMOLED screen with a punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.
Around the back, we get a quad camera setup comprising a 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth units. Fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery charged through a USB-C port at up to 30W.
