If you look at the back of your monitor to check the manufacturer’s logo, you’ll notice it’s not made by Huawei or NZXT. That might change in the near future, though. As reported by PC Gamer, NZXT is looking to hire a Display/Monitor Engineering Lead, Principle Engineer, and Huawei has formally released its first monitor.
NZXT’s job listing is looking for someone who will be “responsible for the development and qualification of Flat Panel Displays for desktop monitors and portable products.” The specific job duties include:
- Investigate best display technologies from potential suppliers
- Define the display specs for new NZXT projects
Is NZXT looking to get into the entry-level monitor market? Is the company going to go premium? It’s anyone’s guess at the moment. But considering NZXT’s long history of making various PC hardware and accessories, it’s nice to see even more expansion. If the quality of the company’s monitors is anything like the quality of its N7 Z490 motherboard, which some might rank among the best motherboards out there, then you can safely expect some top-tier screens in the future.
Much like NZXT, Huawei is also moving into new territory with the release of its Huawei Display 23.8″ FHD Fullview monitor. It’s a basic 23-inch, 1080p monitor with no special bells and whistles beyond the fact that it can vertically tilt its screen. Currently, you can get the Huawei MateDock 2 for free when you order the monitor, not to mention there’s a discount coupon currently available on the manufacturer’s website. So, if you’re interested, it’s not a bad time to get the monitor at a discount with a free MateDock 2 thrown in for good measure.
