Microsoft Teams’ Together Mode makes its way over to Skype

Skype recently received an update that brings it to version 8.67. The update brings support for Together Mode, a great feature that’s also available on Microsoft Teams. Together Mode allows you to have everyone in a meeting appear as if they were in a single room.

The same update also adds Large Grid Mode, which lets you have more people on screen during a call at once. Here’s everything that’s new in the update, as found in its release notes:

Skype for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Web

  • Hanging out with the cool kids: We’ve introduced Together Mode to give everyone in your call the best seat in the house. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve added Large Grid Mode so you can see everyone’s video stream all at once. Learn more about switching views in a Skype video call

Skype for Android

  • So many bubbles: The latest version of Skype includes support for Chat Bubbles, Priority Conversations, and Conversation Space on Android.

The new features for Skype are rolling out gradually, so you might not see them right away.
