It’s not just you, Slack appears to be down across several countries
It’s not just you experiencing issues with Slack. On the first day that many people have returned to work from the holidays, the messaging and communications platform appears to be down in several countries. According to Downdetector, people from throughout Europe and within the United States are experiencing issues. As with most outages, it’s not clear at this time how widespread the issues are.
Downdetector shows a massive spike in issues with Slack, including sending messages and connecting to the service at 10 am ET. We use Slack to communicate at Windows Central, and we’re experiencing issues as well, though that’s not an indication of how widespread the issues are.
Slack shared on Twitter that it is aware of the issue and that it is investigating the cause of the problems.
This is a developing story, and we’ll continue to add details as they become available.

Windows Core OS is a modern version of Windows that powers HoloLens 2 and the upcoming Windows 10X, and has been in the works for many years.
