At CES 2021, HP has announced brand new enterprise-grade 2-in-1 PCs in the form of the Elite x2 G8 and Elite Folio 2-in-1. Both laptops provide a different take on the 2-in-1 form factor, with the Elite x2 G8 featuring a more traditional “Surface Pro” like design with a kickstand and detachable cover, and the Elite Folio 2-in-1 rocking a more traditional laptop design with a screen that can lay forward.
The new Elite x2 G8 features the latest 11th generation Intel processors in i3, i5, and i7 configurations, up to 16GB RAM, and up to a 2TB NVMe SSD for super fast internal storage. There’s plenty to like about the HP x2 G8 for businesses, including support for vPro, a super productive 3:2 aspect ratio in either 1920×1280 or 3000×2000 display resolutions, optional 4G LTE, and a HD Privacy Camera.
The HP Elite Folio on the other hand is designed to be a mobile beast, feauting the latest Snapderagon 8cx Gen2 ARM processor with built-in LTE for an always on, always connected experience. It can also be configured with up to 16GB RAM, 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD, and is rocking a 13.5-inch 1920×1280 display with a 3:2 resolution.
HP teased the Elite Folio a few months ago and now we get to see it for the first time.
The Elite Folio is expected to go on sale in February, with pricing yet to be announced. The new Elite x2 G8 will go on sale in April, with pricing announced closer to the time. What are your thoughts on HP’s new enterprise-grade 2-in-1 PCs? Let us know in the comments.
