Grounded Pond Update BubbleSource: Obsidian Entertainment

Grounded recently made the decision to join the Xbox Insider Program, that way players through the Microsoft Store on Xbox and PC could enroll to join the Public Test of the Pond Update, the biggest update Grounded has seen yet in its early access. However, the Obsidian Entertainment team just made the unfortunate announcement that the Public Test through the Xbox Insider Program has already been closed to new players, because of an issue where save files can disappear entirely if you leave the program.

If you were thinking about joining the Public Test, and don’t play through Steam, you unfortunately will not be able to at this time. If you are already enrolled in the Public Test program, do not leave until Grounded resolves the issue, or you risk permanently losing all of your save files. The Grounded team is actively investigating the bug, and are looking to open up the program as soon as possible.

In case you missed it, we also had a Grounded dev interview, where we talked about the Pond Update, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and more.
