Best answer: The DLC expansions will absolutely be worth buying but the Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Add-Ons bundle represents better value.
Two confirmed expansion packs
Forza Horizon 4 players are being treated to fresh content on a weekly basis as the seasons change and through regular Forzathon challenges. But the expansion packs will be something much more.
Forza Horizon 3 had a pair of DLC expansions that added whole new maps to the game with a fresh set of challenges and the same will apply to the Forza Horizon 4 expansions. Needless to say that even though they haven’t yet been revealed, there’s sure to be plenty to play through.
The first, as yet unnamed DLC is due to drop in December.
Ultimate Edition represents the best overall value
The Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 is pricey at $100, but as it also includes the DLC expansions, it represents the best overall value. The regular version of the game is $60, and the Expansions Bundle on its own is listed at $35.
The Ultimate Edition also includes the VIP Membership, Car Pass, and the Bond and Formula Drift car packs. Buying all of this content separately will cost well in excess of the $100 asking price of the Ultimate Edition.
Ultimate Add-Ons is best for current standard edition owners
If you have the standard edition of the game spending $100 on the Ultimate Edition for all its extra content makes entirely no sense, but fortunately Microsoft has an answer.
All of the additional content the Ultimate Edition provides can be bought separately in the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle for $50. It works out to be a little more than the cost of the Ultimate Edition in total, but is still the best bet if you want the DLC expansions and you already own the game.
An amazing bundle for an amazing game.
With the VIP membership, two car packs, two expansion packs, and the Car Pass included, the Ultimate Edition is the best value Forza Horizon 4 version to get. And it’s well worth the price of admission.
