Microsoft and Fortnite are partnering together in an effort to give Fortnite players a chance to get in on the competitive scene. Today, Epic announced the Fortnite Xbox Cup, a tournament that will be Xbox-only and allow players to compete for a whopping $1 million prize pool across the console.

The tournament will be open to everyone when the qualifiers begin this Saturday on July 20. For the top 1,500 players that make it through that, the online finals will begin on Sunday, July 21. Unlike the Fortnite World Cup, which has separate groupings, this is a strictly Solos tournament, meaning you’ll need to be on your absolute best in order to come away with some winnings. For the full schedule of the tournament, make sure to check out below:

  • Xbox Cup Solo – Saturday, July 20 at 8 PM EDT to 11 PM EDT
  • Xbox Cup Solo – Sunday, July 21 at 8 PM ET to 11 PM EDT

While Saturday might be the start of the Xbox Cup for those on the console, it will also mark the latest live event to hit the world of Fortnite. Players with a keen eye might have noticed that the gigantic robot in Pressure Plant has been finished, and with giant countdown timers beginning to appear in games, things are all pointing towards an event taking place at 2 PM EDT on Saturday, July 20.

Fortnite: Season 9 is currently scheduled to end on August 1, and if you haven’t finished up all of the challenges, make sure to head over and check out our guides for the previous weeks’ challenges, and make sure to finish before it’s too late.
